Early Career Researcher Summer School on greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring and mitigation in agriculture and forestry, 12-14 June, Amsterdam The Netherlands
FACCE ERA-GAS is organising an Early Career Researcher Summer School on greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring and mitigation in agriculture and forestry on 12-13-14 June 2019 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands back to back with its 2nd Research Programme Meeting (RPM) and consortium meeting. These ERA-GAS events will be in parallel to and integrated in the 8th International Symposium on Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases (NCGG8) “Global Challenges and Local Solutions”.
The Summer School is aimed at early career scientists (PhD candidates and post-doctoral researchers), who want to deepen their understanding of the role of key GHGs in the Earth System with a special focus on GHG emissions and carbon sequestration related to the agriculture and forestry sectors.
Applications are invited from scientists involved in projects funded by FACCE ERA-GAS as well as scientists from FACCE ERA-GAS partner countries or New Zealand working on national and international R&D projects addressing GHG monitoring and mitigation in agriculture and forestry.
The FACCE ERA-GAS Summer School offers to Early Career Researchers an invaluable opportunity for learning and networking during dedicated sessions at the NCGG8, discussing GHG methodologies and inventory development with leading scientists and benefitting from interactive sessions focussed on career development and funding opportunities. For the Summer School approximately 20 places will be available. Platinum and Gold awards will be granted to excellent researchers.
Applications for the Summer School can be submitted by the 24 April 2019, 14:00 CEST via the Summer School submission system.
