'Rewilding for climate and biodiversity' project to kick off in January
The wildE project with 20 partners from around Europe is all set to go.
FNP, together with almost 20 partners from around Europe, will be members of the project team of the new Horizon2020 project titled 'Climate-smart rewilding: ecological restoration for climate change mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity support in Europe' (wildE). While contributing to a multi-disciplinary research and innovation programme that addresses the climate-biodiversity nexus, FNP will focus on the social science tasks: (1) a representative assessment of societal perceptions of nature and related management strategies across Europe, and (2) case study analysis – the exploration of conflicts related to rewilding and restoration in different socio-cultural contexts.
