Project
Power 4 Parents: A strategy to empower parents in the first year after delivery towards improved diet quality.
This project aims to improve diet quality amongst parents in the first year after delivery by using an empowerment strategy. We design and pilot the first Dutch empowerment program focusing on parental nutritional intake ‘Power 4 Parents’. Key objective is also to expand our network, for example with child health care centres and maternity care organizations.
Power 4 Parents will be designed based on a literature study and co-creation sessions involving actors like lactation experts, dietitians and youth health care professionals. This supports actor engagement and is prerequisite for success of the strategy. This project builds on the Power 4 a Healthy Pregnancy (P4HP) programme conducted at Wageningen University & Research with stakeholders like the Nutrition Centre and Association of Dietitians.
